Important information
  • As per instruction from IRCC, Canada Visa Applicants are required to install the following update before printing and bring the validated paper copies of the 2D forms as instructed via: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html. Applicants may need to upgrade to version DC Aug 2019 (19.12.20040) if the current version DC Aug 2019(19.012.20036).

    A gentle reminder to bring all pages of the 2D forms. If the barcode page is not scan able, you would be requested to re-fill the forms manually to IRCC system which is running a Certified IRCC version 11 of Adobe reader at the internet kiosk in the centre.

  • Important notice : Canada Visa Applicants may please note that the VACs are experiencing technical issues with the visa application forms. Applicants are requested to use Acrobat Reader XI- 11.0.09 version to fill up the form, validate and print the 2D Barcode form. You might be requested to re-fill the form at the internet kiosk in the centre, if the barcode page is not scan able
  • Important Update: Please be informed that starting from 04 November 2019, VFS Global will accept applications and collect biometrics at the Canada Visa Application Centre in Nigeria under a new set of requirements and services.
  • Booking of appointments for enrolling your biometrics at the VAC is absolutely free of cost. No payment should be made to outside parties for the booking of your appointment. In case you are unable to book an appointment visa the website, you should reach out to our Contact Centre and/or VAC directly.   • Dear Applicant,

    The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, 22 February 2019 as a public Holiday, in preparation for the 23 February 2019 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Nigeria.

    Canada Visa Application Centre in Lagos and Abuja will remain closed on Friday, 22 February 2019. Normal business resumes on Monday 25 February, 2019.

    Applicants who have booked appointments for 22 February 2019, can be rescheduled to any later date, whichever is suitable for them.

  • Dear Applicants,

    There are representatives using stolen credit cards to pay for their clients’ applications. If you pay your fees through a representative, make sure it’s someone you trust. If a payment is fraudulent, IRCC will cancel it. But, you’ll still have to pay your fees.

  • Important Update on official holidays of Eid-el-Kabir.

    The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday 21 August 2018 and Wednesday 22 August 2018 as Public holidays to celebrate Eil-el-Kabir.

    Canada Visa Application Centres in Nigeria will remain closed on both 21 and 22 August 2018.

    Applicants who have booked appointments for 21 August 2018 can be reschedule to any later date in future or they can submit on 23 or 24 August 2018 whichever is suitable

  • The Electronic Travel authorization (eTA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is a new entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals (apart from U.S. citizens and other specified exempt travelers) travelling to Canada by air. The online application is available at www.Canada.ca/eTA
