VFS Global manages the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) in India, operated by VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd.

Important Notice: The Visa Application Centre (VAC) only provides general information and administrative services related to temporary resident applications, including study and work permits, as well as travel documents for permanent residents of Canada. The VAC is not authorized to provide any information, or respond to any inquiries, regarding permanent resident applications and Canadian consular services. This includes Express Entry for skilled immigrants, online application support, Canadian citizenship and any specific information about the visa application forms, the supporting documents or any advice related to the visa application process. CVAC is the exclusive service provider for the Government of Canada, authorized to accept applications in all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canada’s permanent residents in India.

CVAC is authorized to provide administrative support services, such as; the collection of visa applications, and return of passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants. CVAC can also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the Canada visa office.
The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). All applications will be assessed in accordance with Canada’s immigration visa rules and guidelines. CVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.

Temporary Resident Visa / Permits and Travel Documents Application Process
Step 1 : Read complete information on the visa/permit requirements on the CIC website and download the appropriate application forms and checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit. Please refer to the “All About Your Visa” page to obtain details on visas/permits.
Step 2 : Fill out the application form and other relevant documents electronically and print.

Forms (including the barcoded sheets) are to be printed on a white, bond quality, non-glossy paper, using a laser printer.
Step 3 : Read the attached privacy policy, fill out the VFS Consent Form and attach it with their application form.

IMPORTANT: If a completed and signed VFS consent form is not included with the application, we will NOT be able to assist you, and your application will be returned to you.
Step 4 : Pay visa fees as per instructions in the Canadian Visa Office website.

Please note that when submitting application via the CVAC, in person or by mail, visa fees must be paid in addition to CVAC (VFS Global) service charge.
Step 5 : Visit your local Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), make sure you bring your passport, photographs, completed forms and all supporting documents as per checklist and CIC fee instrument and payment instructions. Applicable service charges will be levied. Please ensure you bring an accepted method of payment.
Step 6 : Once you are at CVAC, pay the service charges, hand your complete application and obtain a receipt. This receipt contains your unique tracking number which you will need to track the progress of your application online.

If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport along with the passport request letter may be submitted through the Canada Visa Application Centre of your choice.

How to submit your passport:

Once you receive notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you can submit the passport  and that passport request letter:

  In person/ through an authorized representative at the CVAC

To retrieve your passport, you have the choice of;

1. Picking up the passport in person or through an authorized representative at the CVAC ; or;
2. Courier returns facility. The passport will be returned back to the specified home or office address via courier.

The Passport Transmission Services offered by the CVACs will enable you to;

1. Get your passport delivered to the CVO in a timely and safe manner.
2. Track the status of your passport by using the Tracking tool on the CVAC website

2. Please fill up your visa  application form online (Visa Application Kits) and print it prior to visiting the VFS Application Centre.  Do not leave any box unanswered. If  any question is not applicable – please write N.A. (not applicable)
3. Please click on the “VALIDATE” button at the Top/Bottom of the Page after completing the Visa Application form.
4. Post validation, a barcode page will be generated along with the application form. Print 2 copies of the bar code page and 1 copy of the rest of the pages of the Visa Application Form. Please ensure that application forms and barcodes are printed clearly.
5. Please ensure to enter your passport biographic details accurately, according to the following instructions:
  Name: Please follow instructions described below **
  Passport Number: The passport number cannot contain any spaces.
For example:    CORRECT         H1234567  
                            INCORRECT    H 1234567
  Date of Birth: As given in the passport
  Passport Issue and Expiry date: As given in the passport
  Place of Birth: Please include City/Town as given in Passport Eg. Rohini, Delhi

** Instructions for Filling out Name on the Visa Application Form:

  If the passport has the “Given Name” and “Surname” fields duly filled in, please enter the given name(s) in the application field for “Given Name” and enter the surname(s) in the application field for “Family Name”
  If the passport has a “Given Name” but no “Surname”, please only enter the name(s) in the application field for “Family Name”. Leave the “Given Name” field of the application form blank.
  If the passport has a “Surname” but no “Given Name”, please only enter the surname(s) in the application field for “Family Name”. Leave the “Given Name” field of the application form blank.

P.S.: Please carry the photocopy of the Bio page of your passport at the time of submission of your application.
