VFS Global manages the Canada Visa Application Centers (CVAC) in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, operated by its subsidiary Visa Facilitation Services Mexico, S. de RL. De CV.

CVAC is the exclusive service provider for the Government of Canada, authorized to accept applications in all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canada’s permanent residents in Mexico.

CVAC is authorized to provide administrative support services, such as; the collection of visa applications and return of passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants. CVAC can also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the Canada visa office.

The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). All applications will be assessed in accordance with Canada’s immigration visa rules and guidelines. CVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.

The use of CVAC is optional. Visa application services can also be obtained directly from CIC through their online application system (E-APPS). Applicants who submit their passports through the VAC to have their on-line applications finalized by the Visa Section at the Embassy, must include a letter with a small text providing their complete name along with their contact information: e-mail address and telephone number where they can be reached during working hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) as well as a line indicating that they applied on-line.
