Submit Your Application In-Person

Temporary Resident Visa/Permits and Travel Documents - In-Person Application Process.

Step 1 :

Read complete information on the visa/permit requirements on the IRCC website and download the appropriate application forms and checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit.

As of September 4, 2013, you may need to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when applying for a visitor visa, study permit or work permit. Find out if you need to give your biometrics

Step 2 :

Fill out the application form and other relevant documents.

Print on white, bond quality, non-glossy paper

Use of a laser printer is recommended

Important Note: Please inspect your printer form to confirm that barcodes appear on the last page (pages 5 of 5) Insert the barcode sheet on the top of all the forms. The barcodes should appear clear and be free of any distortions, smudges or fading otherwise it may slow down the application process.

Step 3 :

If you are unable to provide all the supporting documents as mentioned in the official IRCC document checklist, you are required to fill out and sign the waiver form and attach it with your application form.

Failure to provide a completed and signed waiver form may result in additional delays or refusal of your application for a visa, permit or travel document.

Step 4 :

We strongly advise you to read the attached privacy policy and to complete and sign the VFS Consent Form prior to submitting your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC). If a completed and signed VFS consent form is not included with the application, we will not be able to assist you, and will be obligated to return the application to you.

Step 5 :

Pay visa fees and biometric fee, if required, as per instructions in the IRCC fee list.

Step 6 :

Visit your local Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), make sure you bring your passport, photographs, completed forms and all supporting documents as per checklist and IRCC fee instrument. Applicable service charges will be levied.

Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, the CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application. DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC.

Step 7 :

When applying at the CVAC, pay the service charges, submit complete application and obtain a receipt. This receipt contains a unique tracking number which is important as it is required to track the progress of your application online.

Important Note: If you need to provide biometrics, your $85 CAD biometric fee covers the CVAC service charge for application handling.

Mail Your Application

Follow step 1 as listed below

Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC. You must submit your application in person. The CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application.

Step 5 :

Pay the IRCC Visa fee as only Bank Drafts.

  • The bank draft must be in Canadian dollars addressed to the: “Receiver General for Canada”. Please take note of the following:
    • Print your name on the back of the bank draft or certified cheque.
    • Only bank drafts containing the name and complete address of the Canadian bank will be accepted.

Step 6 :

  1. VFS service charges to be paid via demand draft only and the same should be in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD)
  2. Demand draft must be addressed to “MAWARED HOUSE GENERAL TRADING AND CONTRACTING CO. WLL”.
  3. Demand Draft should only be taken from the Banks & not any other exchange companies.
  4. We do not accept personal or company cheques.
  5. Bank drafts must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of issuance.
  6. Please ensure that the bank does not forward your bank draft to this office.
  7. Pay the exact fee for your application

Step 7 :

Mail your applications to Canada Visa Application Centre
54th Floor, Arraya Tower, Near Courtyard by Marriott, alshuhada Street, Alasimah Governate, Kuwait City, Kuwait.

Step 8 :

The unique tracking number to track the progress of your application will be emailed to you once your application has been reviewed for completeness by the CVAC staff.

Please Note:

  • We do not accept personal or company cheques.
  • Bank drafts must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of issuance.
  • Please ensure that the bank does not forward your bank draft to this office.
  • Your payment must accompany your application.
  • Pay the exact fee for your application (do not add cents).
  • If your application is received at this office without the correct processing fee attached, it will be returned to you.

Submit Your Passport

If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport(s) along with the copy of passport request letter may be submitted through the Canadian Visa Application Centre of your choice.

With your passport(s), make sure you include:

  • The passport request letter you received from IRCC
  • Any applicable visa application centre (VAC) fees, such as passport transmission fees, courier fees etc.
  • Your contact information, including your email, phone number and return address
  • The VAC consent forms

How to submit your passport:

Once you receive notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you can submit the passport (s) and this passport request letter:

  1. In person/ through an authorized representative at the CVAC
  2. Or,

  3. By courier/mail to the CVAC address mentioned on the "Contact Us" page.

To retrieve your passport (s), you have the choice of;

  1. Picking up the passport in person from the CVAC or;

    or;

  2. Sending a prepaid self-addressed courier return envelope along with your passport and request letter

The Passport Transmission Services offered by the CVACs will enable you to;

  1. Get your passport delivered to the CVO in a timely and safe manner.
  2. Track the status of your passport by using the Tracking tool on the CVAC website.
