VFS Global is pleased to announce the opening of the Canada Visa Application Centre Hong Kong on 4 September 2013.

Important Notice: The Visa Application Centre (VAC) only provides general information and administrative services related to temporary resident applications, including study and work permits, as well as travel documents for permanent residents of Canada. The VAC is not authorized to provide any information, or respond to any inquiries, regarding permanent resident applications and Canadian consular services. This includes Express Entry for skilled immigrants, online application support, Canadian citizenship and any specific information about the visa application forms, the supporting documents or any advice related to the visa application process. The Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) is the exclusive service provider for the Government of Canada, authorized to accept applications in all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canada’s permanent residents in Hong Kong.

The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). All applications will be assessed in accordance with Canada’s immigration visa rules and guidelines. CVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.

CVAC would also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the Canada visa office when required.
 
 
Step 1 : Read complete information on the visa/permit requirements on the CIC website and download the appropriate application forms and checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit. Information can also be found from All About Your Visa.

As of 4 September 2013, you may need to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when applying for a visitor visa, study permit or work permit. Find out if you need to give your biometrics.
Step 2 : Fill out the application form and other relevant documents. Please note all temporary resident visa, study or work permit applicants must include a legible 2D barcode page as part of their application (for more information, please see 2D barcode page).
Step 3 : We strongly advise you to read the attached privacy policy and to complete and sign the VFS Consent Form prior to submitting your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC).
If a completed and signed VFS consent form in not included with the application, we will not be able to assist you, and will be obligated to return the application to you.
Step 4 : Pay visa fees and biometric fee, if required, as per instructions in the CIC fee schedule and the service charge page
Step 5 : Visit your local Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC); make sure you bring your passport, photographs, completed forms and all supporting documents as per checklist and CIC fee instrument. Applicable service charges will be levied. You may pay the visa fee, service charge, and GC Fee Collection and Remittance Charge in cash or EPS in the CVAC.

Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, the CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application. DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC.
Step 6 : When applying at CVAC, pay the visa fee and service charges in cash or EPS, submit complete application and obtain a receipt. This receipt contains a unique tracking number which is important as it is required to track the progress of your application online.

Important Note: If you need to provide biometrics, your $85 CAD biometric fee covers the CVAC service charge for application handling.

Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC. You must submit your application in person. The CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application.

Step 2 : Please prepare the total amount of Visa Processing Fees and service charges with a bank draft and payable towards “Glory Visa Consulting Company Limited”. The payment must be made in Hong Kong dollars with the payee bank located in Hong Kong.

Mail-in applications from outside of Hong Kong (including China and Macau)

Mail-in applications from China and Macau also require the service charge payment and fees for any other additional services (i.e. courier & SMS service). Please prepare a bank draft payable to “Glory Visa Consulting Company Limited” in HK dollars.

Amount: Service Charges HKD 209+ GC Fee Collection & Remittance Charge HKD 10 + Return Courier Fee HKD 135 +Visa Processing Fee in HKD= HKD354 +Visa Processing Fee per applicant

*Important: Bank drafts have a limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft is not older than 3 months when it reaches our office.

Step 3 : Mail in your completed and signed application forms, consent letter, and checklists, along with your passport, photographs, and Bank draft (cashier’s cheques or money order), in a sealed envelope to Canada Visa Application Centre, 706-08, 7F, Asia Orient Tower, No 33 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The unique tracking number to track the progress of your application will be emailed to you once your application has been reviewed for completeness by the CVAC staff.

Incomplete submissions or applications with incorrect payment will be returned at the client’s expense.

 

If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport(s) along with the copy of passport request letter may be submitted through Visa Application Centre of your choice.

How to submit your passport:

Once you receive notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you can submit the passport (s) and your passport request letter:

1. In person/ through an authorized representative at the CVAC
  Or,
2. By courier/mail to the VAC address mentioned on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

For return of your passport (s), you have the choice of;

1. Picking up the passport from the VAC or;
2. Requesting  return of passport by courier
Please note that there will be a Service Charge for the above services. Courier charges where applicable are separate from the Service Charge applicable for Passport Transmission Services. The details can be obtained here.

The Passport Transmission Services offered by the VACs will enable you to;

1. Get your passport delivered to the CVO (Canadian Visa Office) in a timely and safe manner.
2. You will be able to track the status of your passport by using the Tracking tool on the CVAC website
