VFS Global is pleased to announce the opening of the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) operated by VFS Services Australia Pty. Ltd. on October 2, 2013

CVAC is the exclusive service provider for the Government of Canada, authorised to accept applications in all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canada’s permanent residents in Australia.

CVAC is authorized to provide administrative support services, such as; the collection of visa applications, fees and return of passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants. CVAC can also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the Canada visa office.
The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). All applications will be assessed in accordance with Canada’s immigration visa rules and guidelines. CVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.

The use of the CVAC is voluntary. Such service may also be obtained directly from CIC by using CIC’s online application (E-Apps) system.
 

 
Step 1 : Read complete information on the visa/permit requirements on the CIC website and download the appropriate application forms and checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit.

As of 4 September 2013, you may need to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when applying for a visitor visa, study permit or work permit. Find out if you need to give your biometrics.
Step 2 : Fill out the application form and other relevant documents.
Step 3 : We strongly advise you to read the attached privacy policy and to complete and sign the VFS Consent Form.pdf prior to submitting your application at the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC).
Note: If a completed and signed VFS consent form in not included with the application, we will not be able to assist you, and will be obligated to return the application to you.
Step 4 : Pay visa fees and biometric fee, if required, as per instructions in the CIC fee schedule along with service charges instruction on Service and Service charge schedule.
Step 5 : Visit your local Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), make sure you bring your passport, photographs, completed forms and all supporting documents as per checklist and CIC fee instrument. Applicable service charges will be levied.

Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, the CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application. DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC.

Step 6 : When applying at CVAC, pay the Service and Service charges, submit complete application and obtain a receipt. This receipt contains a unique tracking number which is important as it is required to track the progress of your application online

Important Note: If you need to provide biometrics, your $85 CAD biometric fee covers the CVAC service charge for application handling.

To pay the service charge, courier charges and charge for any optional service please include Postal Order or Bank Draft for the correct amount favouring “Visa Rep Services Pty. Ltd.”
Step 5 : Mail in your completed and signed application forms and checklists, along with your passport, photographs, Postal Order or Bank Draft in a sealed envelope to Canada Visa Application Centre, in Perth at -
level 3, 178 George’s Terrace, Perth – 6000, WA.
In Sydney at -
Level 18, Australia Square, 264 George Street, Sydney – 2000, NSW.
Step 6 : The unique tracking number to track the progress of your application will be emailed to you once your application has been reviewed for completeness by the CVAC staff.
 
 
If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport(s) along with the copy of passport request letter may be submitted through Canada Visa Application Centre of your choice.

How to submit your passport:

Once you receive notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you can submit the passport (s) and that request letter:

1. In person/ through an authorized representative at the CVAC
Or,
2. By courier/mail to the CVAC address mentioned on the “Contact Us” page.

To retrieve your passport (s), you have the choice of;

1. Picking up the passport in person from the CVAC or;
2. Sending a prepaid self-addressed courier return envelope along with your passport and request letter
Please note that there will be a Service Charge for the above services. Courier charges where applicable are separate from the Service Charge applicable for Passport Transmission Services. The details can be obtained here.

The Passport Transmission Services offered by the CVACs will enable you to;


1. Get your passport delivered to the CVO in a timely and safe manner.
2. Track the status of your passport by using the Tracking tool on the CVAC website.
