VFS Global is pleased to announce the opening of the Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC) operated by Gerry’s International on June 11, 2013.

CVAC is the exclusive service provider for the Government of Canada, authorised to accept applications in all temporary resident categories (visitor visas, study and work permits) and travel document applications from Canada’s permanent residents in Pakistan.

CVAC is authorized to provide administrative support services, such as; the collection of visa applications, fees and return of passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants. CVAC can also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the Canada visa office.
The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). All applications will be assessed in accordance with Canada’s immigration visa rules and guidelines. CVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.

The use of the CVAC is voluntary. Such service may also be obtained directly from CIC, either by courier to the Canada visa office located in Islamabad or by using CIC’s online application (E-Apps) system.

Step 1 : Read complete information on the visa/permit requirements on the CIC website and download the appropriate application forms and checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit.
As of 11 December 2013,
Pakistani citizens between the ages of 14 and 79 must give their biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when applying for a visitor visa, study permit or work permit. This new requirement affects citizens of 29 countries and 1 territory. Find out if you need to give your biometrics.
Step 2 : Fill out the application form and other relevant documents.
Step 3 : Mandatory requirement: Applicants are advised to read the attached privacy policy, fill out the VFS consent form and attach it with their application form.
Step 4 : Pay visa fees and biometric fee, if required, as per instructions in the CIC fee schedule.
Step 5 : Visit your local Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), make sure you bring your passport, photographs, completed forms and all supporting documents as per checklist and CIC fee instrument. Applicable service charges will be levied.
Important Note: If you need to give your biometrics, the CVAC will collect your biometrics at the same time you submit your application. DO NOT submit your application by mail to this CVAC.
Step 6 : When applying at CVAC, pay the service charges, submit complete application and obtain a receipt. This receipt contains a unique tracking number which is important as it is required to track the progress of your application online.
